New Mount Ida Cemetery, on the north side of Pine Woods Avenue, a half mile east of Mount Ida Cemetery on Pawling Avenue, was purchased by the city of Troy, October 5, 1854.
(source: Weise, Arthur James. The City of Troy and Its Vicinity. Troy, NY: Edward Green, 1886. 54.)

There is no known complete list of all of the burials in this cemetery. This list contains 1547 names of lot purchases, year of purchase and location within the cemetery. Volunteers have undertaken (pun intended) some restoration and repair of gravestones in this cemetery and images of these memorials are documented at https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/65416/new-mount-ida-cemetery

The map shows lot locations within the cemetery and is taken from a survey map created December 1854 by L.D. Eddy, City of Troy Surveyor and updated by Chris Philippo.
