The First United Presbyterian Church has its roots in the following Troy Presbyterian Churches:
First Presbyterian Church – Founded 1791 United Presbyterian Church – Founded 1792 Second Presbyterian Church – Founded 1826 Ninth Presbyterian Church – Founded 1870
The first United Presbyterian Church is currently housed in the Church building which was formerly the Second Presbyterian Church.
Some memorials in the present Church were from the First Presbyterian Church and the Ninth Presbyterian Church buildings.
